Five Principles RNBA Advocates for Southern Baptist Associations

Five Principles RNBA Advocates for Southern Baptist Associations:

1. Genuine cooperation among Southern Baptist entities, particularly between associations and state conventions, begins with communication at the IDEA stage rather than the IMPLEMENTATION stage.

2. SBC cooperation between associations and state conventions works well using the imagery of family doctor (association) and specialist (state convention) in serving our common churches.

3. Admitting churches to SBC membership rolls, whether an established church or church plant, begins at the association level and is shared with the state convention for a joint welcome to Southern Baptist life.

4. Properly serving Southern Baptist churches starts by understanding individual local church needs and communicating priorities through the association to state conventions and national entities (as needed).

5. State conventions best serve our shared churches by working through their associations and Directors of Missions (DOMs).

Our goal in forming RNBA is strengthening associations to press for these ideals in their own context. If we can help your association and your Director of Missions, please reach out to us. We're here to help!
